Tuesday morning, October 7, 2014. Volunteers from High Point Fire District presented a fire prevention program at the South Pointe Christion School. Students first attended a classroom session then went outside for activity stations which included at trip through the fire departments fire safety trailer to watch another video. The video was interrupted by a simulated fire with theatrical smoke requiring the students to use skills learned in the previous activity stations. Once out of the trailer the students went to their “meeting place” and called 911. Students finished by getting to see High Point’s ladder truck.
