At 9:18 PM on August 10, 2013 High Point Fire District responded to a report of a vehicle fire on Mangum School Road across from Greens Auction Barn. Firefighters arrived to find a white Dodge Ram pickup truck with fire showing from the engine and spread to the passenger compartment.  It took firefighters 10 minutes to bring the fire under control using 500 gallons of water. The pickup was a total loss.
