On Friday night, November 15th 2013, firefighters from High Point Fire District responded to a report of a mobile home fire on Tory Road west of Pageland. While responding firefighters were notified by dispatch that the caller had witnessed a male throw gasoline on the side of the mobile home and ignite it.

At approximately 11 PM on Wednesday April 15, High Point Fire District responded to a report of a house fire on High Point Church Rd. Firefighters arrived to find a single story wood frame house filled with thick dark smoke but no visible flames. The resident was out of the house and informed firefighters that he believed the fire was in the bedroom.

At 8:14 AM on Thursday, April 4, 2013, High Point Fire District responded to a machine fire at Old Castle Lawn & Garden on High Point Church Rd. Firefighters arrived to find that a large elevated mulch processing machine was on fire. Old Castle has its own fire engine and employees had worked to extinguish the fire themselves but due to the height of the machine they were unable to get the water from their hose directly on the fire.

At 2:52 PM Monday, March 4th, High Point Fire District responded to a report of a structure fire at 1100 Coon Creek Rd. near Pageland SC. First arriving firefighters found a single wide mobile home with smoke showing from all windows and vents but no visible fire. Firefighters also noticed the siding becoming discolored near the kitchen vent.

A very well dressed group of High Point firefighters responded to a report of a possible chimney fire on Edward Foard Road Tuesday, November 27th at 1:45 PM. Firefighters had just left the funeral of one of their departments founders, Charles Rorie, when the alarm came in.
